Joanne Marie Klenk

Joanne Marie Klenk, 90 years old, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Memorial Hospital. Joanne was born on January 19, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late John Edwards and Marie (Hutchins) Edwards. On August 11, 1956, in Detroit, Joanne and Warren Klenk were united in marriage, and God gave them nearly 69 years together. Warren and Joanne served in ministry in Michigan, northern Minnesota, El Paso, Texas, and in Mexico. She faithfully followed the Lord Jesus Christ, and she happily kept their home so that Warren could work in those ministries.
Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She most loved time spent with her family.
Joanne is survived by her husband Warren; their three children, Sharon Klenk of South Bend, Beth Frushour (Steve Bradley) of South Bend, and Jon (Jane) Klenk of Mapleton, MN; grandchildren, Stephen (Allison) Frushour, Jenni (Matt) Hagen, Jeff Klenk, Matthew (Braelyn) Frushour, James Frushour, Haleigh Frushour, and Jamie Klenk; great grandchildren, Bentley, Easton, and Marshal; sister Patricia (Dave) Princler and brother John (Donna) Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. She also has a family of much-loved sons, daughters, grandchildren, and friends in Mexico, from their years of service there.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 10:30 am to noon, with a Memorial Service to follow at noon, at Community Baptist Church, 5715 Miami Road, South Bend, IN 46614.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joanne Marie Klenk may be donated to Bearing Precious Seed, First Baptist Church, 1367 Woodville Pike, Milford, OH 45150.
