Jobo Valentin, 88, of Bloomfield NJ passed away on March 8, 2026. Born in Moca, Puerto Rico to parents Pedro Estremera Valentin and Maria Soto Valentin (deceased) He came to the United States in 1955. He settled and raised his beautiful family in Newark NJ before moving to Bloomfield NJ.

Jobo worked as a draftsman and fabricator with ITT Avionics, Clifton NJ for many years before retiring in 1995.

Beloved husband for 65 years of Blanca (Candelaria) Valentin. Devoted father of Rosa Valentin-Ruiz and her husband Edgar Y. Ruiz, Luz M. Valentin, Maria "Margie" Ruiz, Freddie Valentin and his wife Patty Valentin and Maria D. Reyes and her husband Lee Reyes. Loving grandfather of Austin T. Ruiz and his wife Ava Koziak-Ruiz, Brandon V. Ruiz, Ethan J. Ruiz, Kaylee Rose Reyes and Julian L. Reyes. Cherished great-grandfather of Frances Rose Marie Ruiz. Dear brother of Liborio Valentin, Aurelio Valentin, Maria "Meri" Rosado, Jose Valentin (deceased), Angel Valentin (deceased), Demesia Valentin-Rivera (deceased) and Mariano Valentin (deceased).

Jobo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He lived life with integrity, hard work, kindness and generosity. He provided a home filled with love and taught his family the value of perseverance. He was a devoted Catholic and faithful servant of the Lord. His legacy of love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visiting Thursday, March 12, from 4 – 8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday, March 13, 9:45 AM at the Funeral Home and 11 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ

Jobo Valentín, de 88 años, residente de Bloomfield, Nueva Jersey, falleció el 8 de marzo de 2026. Nació en Moca, Puerto Rico, hijo de Pedro Estremera Valentín y María Soto Valentín (fallecidos). Llegó a Estados Unidos en 1955. Se estableció y crió a su hermosa familia en Newark, Nueva Jersey, antes de mudarse a Bloomfield, Nueva Jersey.

Jobo trabajó como delineante y fabricante en ITT Avionics, Clifton, Nueva Jersey, durante muchos años antes de jubilarse en 1995.

Amado esposo durante 65 años de Blanca (Candelaria) Valentín. Padre devoto de Rosa Valentín-Ruiz y su esposo Edgar Y. Ruiz, Luz M. Valentín, María "Margie" Ruiz, Freddie Valentín y su esposa Patty Valentín, y María D. Reyes y su esposo Lee Reyes. Abuelo cariñoso de Austin T. Ruiz y su esposa Ava Koziak-Ruiz, Brandon V. Ruiz, Ethan J. Ruiz, Kaylee Rose Reyes y Julián L. Reyes. Querido bisabuelo de Frances Rose Marie Ruiz. Querido hermano de Liborio Valentín, Aurelio Valentín, María "Meri" Rosado, José Valentín (fallecido), Ángel Valentín (fallecido), Demesia Valentín-Rivera (fallecida) y Mariano Valentín (fallecido).

Jobo fue un devoto esposo, padre, abuelo y bisabuelo. Vivió con integridad, bondad, generosidad y trabajo duro. Proporcionó un hogar lleno de amor y enseñó a su familia el valor de la perseverancia. Fue un católico devoto y un fiel siervo del Señor. Su legado de amor por su familia permanecerá para siempre en los corazones de quienes lo conocieron.
