Jodi Rosenthal (nee Warmuth) age 63, passed away on June 6th, 2025, after an over 4-year battle with ALS. Jodi was born October 5, 1961, as the middle child to Fred and Arliss (Berends) Warmuth. Jodi was always fiercely independent her entire life. Jodi's mother even joked that Jodi's first words were "I'll do it myself!" Jodi was a hard worker with an interesting and diverse work history. She often joked that she never had a career path and that she was very fortunate to have worked with great people who gave her great opportunities. Most of her life, she worked in various capacities in the legal field retiring in July 2022 as a Corporate/Securities Paralegal at Godfrey & Kahn in Milwaukee. However, if you asked her what her favorite job was, she would say being a dispatcher in Mequon where she made many lifelong friends.
For years, Jodi was unlucky in love, until 2003 when she met Jim--the love of her life. Jim and Jodi were inseparable and made the best team! They were married on October 1, 2005, on Mackinac Island and several months later had their marriage blessed by Father Rick Stoffel at St. Peters Catholic Church in Slinger. For 18 years, they made their home in Jackson, Wisconsin. Jodi & Jim took many wonderful trips together including Caribbean cruises, Ketchikan, Alaska, Las Vegas, road trips across the US On Route 66, or to South Dakota during the pandemic and to Arizona. In December 2022, Jodi & Jim fulfilled their retirement dreams and moved into their new home in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
When Jodi was diagnosed with ALS, Jim never left her side showing his love for her everyday.
In her spare time, Jodi loved to camp, crochet, embroider, sew and read (usually books about serial killers). Jodi even sewed baptismal gowns for three of her four Godchildren. Jodi also loved the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. She loved to cook, bake, organize and plan parties and vacations. She created Excel spreadsheets for everything. Jodi loved going on girls' trips. Her group went to Door County many times, Las Vegas, Memphis, Chicago, and Galena.
There were several things very important to Jodi-- first, faith in God, Second, love of friends and family and third, loving on every dog she would meet.
Jodi was predeceased by her parents, Fred & Arliss Warmuth, her grandparents and her dogs, Ted, Abby, Freddy and Bubba.
Jodi is survived by the love of her life, husband, Jim. Brother, Brian (Carol) Warmuth and Sister, Jenny (Tracy) Pelzel. Nieces and Nephew Anna (fiance, Isaac), Cole (fiance, Britney) and Sara (significant other, Liam) Stepsons, Jonah and Isaac Rosenthal. Grandson, Dylan Rosenthal. Sister in law, Jackie (Aubry Baldwyn) Brion, brother in law, Jerry (Barb) Rosenthal. Jodi loved being special auntie to the Pridgeon kids; Nick (Shannon), Rachael (Justin), and Micheal.
Also survived by her sweet and sassy dog, Trixie. Jodi is also survived by her dear extended family (a million cousins) and a million awesome friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jodi's honor can be made to the ALS Association or to a local humane society of your choice.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. followed by a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Slinger, WI, Rev. Richard Stoffel will be presiding.
