Jodie Ann Britton, 67, of Johnstown, passed away on January 17, 2026, at Knox Community Hospital. Born September 20, 1958, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Judith Hargis Tullos.
A proud graduate of Brookhaven High School's class of 1976, Jodie continued her education at Columbus State Community College, earning her associate's degree. She dedicated her career to serving the community as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service.
Jodie attended Centerburg Free Will Baptist Church and found joy in stained glass art, reading mysteries by Stephen King and Dean Koontz, and cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes. She was known for her sparkling jewelry and her warm, welcoming spirit-cherished as "Momma Jodie" by her children's friends and loved ones alike.
She is survived by her children, Kyle (Sarah) Lightle and Shannon (Carlos) Alvarez; siblings, Jacqueline Caccimelio, Douglas (Tara) Tullos, Jannetta (Randy) Hatfield, Robin (Dennis) Lightle, Mary Wirth, and Christopher (Angie) Tullos.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, 637 North State Route 61 at Route 3 Sunbury, Ohio, with Isaiah Hatfield officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests planting a memorial tree or making a memorial contribution in Jodie's name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
The family is being served by Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel.
