Jody William Conley, age 43, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on March 16, 1982, to the late Hershell Conley and the late Barbara Barnett. Jody was a dedicated peer support specialist with New Day Recovery, where he found fulfillment in helping others navigate their journey toward recovery from drug addiction. He had a passion for fishing, relishing the tranquility of casting his line into the water, always on the lookout for the next big catch. When he wasn't fishing, Jody could often be found at a local pool hall, skillfully sinking balls into pockets while enjoying the camaraderie of friends. A devoted fan of Louisville Cardinal basketball, he would gather with family and friends, passionately cheering on his team during every game. Family was everything to Jody, and he cherished the moments spent with them. Known for his selflessness, he had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand or give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Food was one of Jody's great pleasures; he particularly savored the bold flavors of Mexican and Chinese cuisine, often exploring new dishes and enjoying the experience of sharing a meal with loved ones. In addition to his parents, Jody is preceded in death by one sister: Ruth Ann Briscoe, and one nephew: Coty Aaron Spencer. He is survived by his son: Jacob Bailey (Kylie Brianne Lyons) Conley Briscoe of Stanton; two brothers: Jeff Conley of Mt. Sterling, and Hershell Gene Conley of Prestonsburg; three sisters: Wanda (Billy) Adkins of Owingsville, Rhonda Conley, and Linda (Emil) Adams both of Mt. Sterling; one grandchild: Bailey Ann Briscoe, and a special friend: Jessica Richmond. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky.
