Jody L. Maricle, age 65, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at her home in Austin surrounded by her family. Jody Lynn Anderson was born on October 8, 1959, in Austin, Minnesota to Gordon "Gordy" and Dellene (Waldron) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Jody graduated from Austin High School. On April 7, 1979, Jody was united in marriage to Lawrence "Larry" Elwin Maricle Jr. The couple was blessed with four children. Jody worked for many years doing administrative work in accounting. She loved her family so much and was blessed to have the ability to help raise all their children and spend time with grandchildren. Jody loved shopping and was always on the hunt for a coupon or good sale. Her interests included being outdoors whether it was gardening, soaking up the rays of sunshine, shopping, but her greatest joy came from her family and lifetime friendships. Jody approached life with an unbridled enthusiasm that was as genuine as it was contagious. Her laugh, that wonderful, unmistakable sound, could fill a room and transform even the most ordinary moments into memories worth cherishing. It was impossible to hear her laugh without joining in, a gift that made her the heart of every gathering. Though her laughter has fallen silent, its echoes remain in our hearts. We find comfort knowing that somewhere, somehow, Jody is still laughing- that beautiful sound continuing to spread joy in ways we cannot yet understand.
Jody is survived by her husband, Larry; mother, Dellene Anderson Cummings; children, Brandon Maricle, Melissa (Joshua) Preston, Christopher Maricle, and Taylor Maricle; grandchildren, Brayden, Madeleine, Lillian, Tate, Ally, Alexa, Mallory and Lainey; her many beloved granddogs; siblings, Shelly Olson, Brian (Melissa) Anderson, Eric (Nicole) Anderson, and David (Nicole) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordy; and stepfather, Richard Cummings.
A celebration of Jody's life is planned for Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Todd Park NW Pavillion #1. Memorials are preferred to the family.
