Joseph A. Bardo, age 47 of Lima, passed suddenly in the early morning of Sunday, April 27, 2025 in Lima. He was born May 2, 1977 in Lima, Ohio to Nick Bardo, deceased and Sheri R. (Terry) Brunk Bardo Shaeffer. His mother and step father survive in Lima.
Joe was a graduate of Lima Senior High School and a hardworking man who was a "jack of all trades." Whether it was landscaping, fixing things, or lending a hand wherever it was needed, he worked with skill and determination.
He had a special way with children and a remarkable amount of patience-qualities that shone brightest in the bond he shared with his niece, Shelby. Joe loved to fish, enjoying good times with friends, and making people laugh. He lived life his own way, full of energy, fun, and heart.
Though he didn't always show it, Joe had a big heart. He cared deeply and gave generously to those he held close.
He is survived by 4 children – Hailey McElroy of Lima; Carter Bardo of Lima; Sarah Garrett of Celina; Bentley of Lima; 6 brothers – Tim (Kimberly) Bardo of Cridersville; Nickie (Jen) Bardo of Cleveland; Twin brothers – Rich (Adriana) Bardo of Cleveland and Chris Bardo of Lima; Jay Bardo of Lima; Chad (Michelle) Bardo of Lima; a sister – Buffy Bardo of Lima; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Joe will begin 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Fairgrounds Pizza on Harding Highway.
