Joe Randy Brady, 72, of Elon, found peace in the Lord’s arms on November 27, 2022. He was born on April 27, 1950 in Guilford County to the late Annie Ruth Boone Brady and Joe Brady.
Joe is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Helen Hurley Brady. Upon Helen’s parent’s death, they raised her brother, John Hurley. He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Brady; her special friend Jon Hardister; grand dog Isabella; brother, Mike Brady and wife Shirley; special sister-in-law Dianne Wolford and husband Keith; and many special friends and his family at the local YMCA.
He proudly served in the US Army and retired from Guilford County. A big kid at heart, he loved doing anything social that involved spending time with friends. Going to the YMCA and meeting friends was always a highlight of his day. He enjoyed trips to the beach and found peace being near the ocean. He had a deep love for his family and enjoyed his time with special friends at Integrity Church.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2 PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 4 – 6 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Integrity Church in Burlington, NC.
