Allen "Joe" Carnine, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born April 19, 1942, in Sac City, Iowa, Joe moved to Osceola, Wisconsin at the age of 15 with his parents. He graduated from Osceola High School and later attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, where he earned his math and economics degrees.
Joe eventually settled in the Amery area to raise his family. He began his career in banking with First National Bank of St. Paul before transitioning into real estate. He found great success and fulfillment as a real estate agent, broker, investor, but most importantly as an appraiser. Joe had an instinct for opportunity and a passion for connecting with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Roy Carnine; siblings, Duane, Don, Gwendolyn, Marjorie, Joy and Dale; and his grandson, Johnathan Carnine.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Shirley K., whom he married on August 21, 2005, and her daughters, Aliah (Corey) Vanchelli and Jen (Greg) Luchtenburg.
He is also survived by his ex-wife, Lois Carnine, and their children, Scott (Jasmine) Carnine, Jodi (Jeff) Fields, Tom (Becky) Carnine, and Julie (Jeff) Heiden.
He was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews-each of whom he jokingly declared was "his favorite their age."
Joe also leaves behind countless friends (you know who you are), all of whom were touched by his zest for life. He was a man who lived fully and passionately. His greatest joys included family, friends, hunting, fishing, laughter, and a good celebration. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, Joe also had a deep appreciation for politics, history, and honoring our nation's veterans.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Adoray Home Health & Hospice and the staff at Golden Age Manor for their compassionate care.
Memorials preferred, and they will be given to some of Joe's favorite charities and organizations.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, with a time of sharing at 7:30 pm at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, Wisconsin. Joe's family requests that those attending wear their favorite camo or Green Bay Packers clothing to Joe's "Going Away Party."
Joe's legacy of humor, love, and wholehearted living will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
