Joe Castillo Obituary
His parents, Joseph and Aida Castillo preceded him in death.
Joe is survived by his wife, Pamela Butler Castillo, sister, Vivian Castillo of Spain, nephews Alex and Sergio Monfort of North Carolina, and several cousins.
Joe graduated from Gordon Military High School in 1971 and attended Gordon Jr. College before enlisting in the United States Navy, serving from 1974 to 1980. He and Pam returned home to Griffin, and he began a 38-year career with Delta Airlines, retiring in 2018. Joe was a member of Searcy Memorial United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be in the old section of Oak Hill Cemetery at noon Wednesday, September 24, 2025 with Pastor Gene Luke officiating. A reception will follow in the Family Center of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joe may be made to the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Lung Cancer Fund, by calling (404) 712-4483 or online at winshipcancer.emory.edu or to Brightmoor Hospice, 3247 Newnan Rd., Griffin, GA 30223.
