Joe Anthony Cisneros, a cherished husband, devoted father and stepfather, loving grandfather, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully at a Redlands residence on April 1, 2025. He was born in Bethesda, Maryland, on January 1, 1948. Joe's early years were shaped by a military family, which involved frequent moves and adapting to new environments across the country. His favorite stay was in Hawaii.
Joe made Redlands his home for 63 years, graduating from Redlands High School in 1966. He dedicated 40 years to serving the Redlands Unified School District.
Joe had a variety of interests, including attending gem and mineral shows, listening to the blues, going on road trips, and traveling to see family. He also enjoyed gardening and sharing his harvest with others. Joe loved experiencing nice restaurants and sight-seeing. Joe will be remembered for mentoring others and providing sage advice.
Joe is survived by his wife, Sylvia Cisneros; his daughter, Nicole Muller; and his stepdaughter, Savannah Perez-Lugenbeel. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christina Muller and Marlena Muller; and his step-grandchildren, Joshua Perez and Jacob Perez. His son-in-law, Michael Muller, also survives him. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cisneros and Antonia Cisneros.
A celebration of Joe's life will be held at The Holy Name of Jesus Parish, located at 1205 Columbia St, Redlands, CA 92374. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 am, followed by Mass at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place in the hall at 12:00 pm. Joe has named the following for any gifts in his honor.
