Joe Dickerson Obituary
Joe was born in White County, Tennessee on November 13, 1938, to the late Henry Dickerson and Alma Sheldon Dickerson.
Mr. Dickerson served honorably in the United States Navy before returning home to Sparta and the love of his life, Larona.
Joe traveled often to hunting and fishing grounds and loved to marvel at God's creations both big and small, but his greatest blessings were always at home.
Joe loved his children, grandchildren, and great Grandchildren fiercely and loved to relax at the golf course.
Mr. Dickerson is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Kimberly Ward, one sister Helen Frazier, and brothers: Ray Dickerson and Henry Thomas Dickerson Jr.
Left to carry on his legacy are: his wife of 64 years, Larona Dickerson, daughter Veronica Cantrell, Grandchildren: Chris Abston, Josh Smith, Michael (Tosha) Teeples, and Miya (Jeff) Copeland.
Great Grandchildren: Kami, Jamison, Morgan, Roman, Logan and Ozzy.
Services for Mr. Dickerson will be on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 3PM in the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home with burial at Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening June 13, 2025 from 4-8 PM
