1966 in Metter, Georgia. Their union was blessed with 3 children; Angie Ellis (Austin), Joe

Nathan Ellis Jr., and Mark Anthony Ellis.

Personal/Hobbies

In his leisure he enjoyed spending quality time with his daughter, grandchildren, and great-

grandchildren. He enjoyed doing garden work around his home, fishing, and cooking.

Professional/Vocation

Joe Nathan Ellis Sr. worked for Rood Landscaping for 36 years and owned his own bobcat

business.

Date of Death and Proceeding Deaths

Joe Nathan Ellis Sr. departed this life on July 27th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife,

Earlean Ellis; his sons, Joe Nathan Ellis Jr and Mark Anthony Ellis Sr; and his parents, Chester

Wigfall and Maggie Ellis.

Survivors

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Angie Ellis-Austin and son-in-law Charles Austin,

of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Grandchildren, Marlana Ellis, Kendra Ellis, Mark A. Ellis Jr, Kimberly Ellis,

Maggie Ellis, Candice Ellis-Flowers, and Jasmine Ellis; Great Grandchildren; Step Mother Ida

Wigfall, of South Bend, IN; and a host of other relatives and friends including brothers and

sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
