It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Ellis, age 83, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, who departed this world peacefully on October 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on October 10, 1942, in Hope, Arkansans, Joe lived a life defined by devotion—to his family, his friends, and his church. He was a man of quiet strength, deep integrity, and endless generosity. Whether lending a helping hand or offering words of encouragement, Joe had a gift for making everyone feel valued and loved.

Joe was the cornerstone of his family. He worked tirelessly to provide and always put the needs of others before his own. He believed that what was important in life was the love you give and the lives you touch. His unwavering commitment to his loved ones leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humility, and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Marsha, two sons Phillip and Matt, 1 grandchild, Jessica, and 3 great grandchildren, Jayce, Hailey, and Layla, and a large extended family who will forever cherish his memory.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 29 at 11:00 am at Smith North Little Rock funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in his honor to Paragould Children’s Home. https://www.childrenshomes.org/
