It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Joe Edward Frazier, who left us peacefully to his heavenly home on August 8, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 78. He was known as "Dad", "Grandpa", "Lil' Joe" and "Buck" to his loving family.
The relatives and friends of Joe Frazier are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 East Queen Creek Road,
Gilbert, AZ 85297. Burial will follow on the same premises.
Joe was born on September 18, 1946, in Ada, Oklahoma. He was the cherished son of the late Joe Sr. and Ruth Frazier. Joe was raised in Connerville, Oklahoma, and the surrounding areas. He graduated from Haskell Boarding School in Lawrence, Kansas. He entered the United States Air Force and was stationed at Luke Air Force Base. He then completed a tour of duty at Yokota Air Base in Japan during the Vietnam War. After his service, Joe attended Grand Canyon University and received his master's degree from Northern Arizona University.
He married Jacqueline "Jackie" Beedle in 1970 in Ajo, Arizona. Husband to Jacqueline, they would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in September. They were an example of marriage – love, faith, companionship, patience, and teamwork. Having met in Phoenix, they lived in many places that included New Mexico, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, and ultimately, planted their roots in Chandler, Arizona.
As a father, Joe enjoyed coaching and was active in youth sports with his children Joshua and Jolyn. He was an avid sports fan and was a die-hard Oklahoma Sooners fan. As a music connoisseur, Joe shared his oldies, Motown, and folk music, which left an impression on his children.
Joe retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 2005 and took up the hobbies of restoring antique furniture, fishing, camping, going to the movies with his wife, and watching ballgames. Joe enjoyed spending quality time with his grandson, Bowen, which included lunches at Denny's, basketball games, and afternoons watching Judge Judy. He was also a dog father to his beloved basset hounds, Stella and Casey, and enjoyed sneaking in little treats when no one was looking.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leonard Frazier, Nick Frazier, Willard Frazier, and Derry Frazier; nieces Layla Frazier Goodpasture, Jesse Frazier, Julie Walden, and Leah Patterson.
He is survived by his son, Joshua, and daughter-in-law Cristina, daughter Jolyn, and son-in-law Henry Nelson, with his amazing wife of 54 years Jacqueline Frazier, along with his wonderful grandchild, Bowen, who will forever honor and cherish his legacy. He is also survived by his brothers Belvin, Sherman, and Robbie Frazier, and sisters Catherine Martin, Sherry Nail, and Neva Bond, and many nieces and nephews.
Although Joe's journey on earth has come to an end, his light continues to shine in the lives of those he loved. We are grateful for the time we had and the memories we made. He will be deeply missed.
