Joe Ann Wrigley Jacobs made the final journey to her "surprise in the sky" on September 19, 2024 at the age of 94.
She was born in Ferron, Utah on September 12, 1930 to Myrtle May Duncan and Robert Llewelyn Wrigley. Proceed in death by her beloved husband, parents and siblings.
She married the love of her life, Melvin George Jacobs on October 27, 1949. They were sealed in the Hawaiian Temple and were married for 74 years.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a firm testimony of the Gospel and of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She went above and beyond serving in many church callings but her favorite was to be the chorister for Primary, Sacrament Meetings and especially for the Ward Choir.
She hand made many quilts, dresses, afghans, and novelty items that we will cherish and was an amazing cook. The aroma of baked bread, cakes and cinnamon rolls filled the air on many occasions.
She loved to celebrate all holidays and birthdays. She loved planning them and giving everyone assignments. Especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.
She went to South High, earned her a degree in cosmetology in San Francisco, was an employee for Mountain Bell for 20 years and served an LDS mission in Guyana, South America.
She loved being a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and participated in the program and activities while living in St. George and West Jordan.
She demonstrated unconditional love for her family and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Her faith and knowledge of the plan of salvation is a great comfort to her family and friends. We look forward to her being reunited again with her husband and family.
She is survived by her son Russell Jacobs, daughter Diana Martinez (Charles Martinez), daughter Pamela Nielson, son Curtis Jacobs (Velina), daughter Brenda Moghadam (Amir Moghadam), daughter Jolene Maughan (Kenneth Maughan), daughter Carlette Young (Mike Young).
We will miss her dearly, but knowing that Mom and Dad are together, gives us peace. We're so grateful for the many wonderful memories and the legacy she leaves behind.
Special thanks to Crescent Assisted Living facility and Enhabit for their never ending love, compassion and kindness for our mother and family. And we're extraordinarily grateful to Jolene, her beloved daughter, for her endless love, care and devotion to our Mom.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 28, 2024 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Chapel located at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S) with a viewing from 10:00-10:45 am prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to University of Utah Cancer Research https://give.huntsmancancer.org

Keith and I count ourselves as blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know your mom and your dad; they were both very special people. As much as we would like it we are not going to be able to make it to the funeral, but wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
