Joe Louis Johnson was born to the late Viola Crawford and Carl Johnson on April 17, 1942 in Crawfordville, Georgia. Joe Louis was the 10th and youngest of all his siblings which has preceded him in death, as well as his only son Darrin (DJ) Johnson.
Joe Louis was a man that wore many hats in his lifetime, as a young man, he worked for Colonial Bread Company in Atlanta, GA. He also worked at W.C Cowls as a construction worker and played on the company's baseball team. In his ladder years, he worked as a custodian for Jonesboro Nursing Home and Pruitt Health Care in which he retired from.
Joe Louis loved to play basketball and playing Spades in his spare time, He loved chewing on his tobacco and telling a funny story or joke.
Joe Louis Leaves to cherish his memories four daughters Trina, Tawana, Kimberly and Patrice (Milton Jr.);
two step sons Charlie Johnson, Casey Goodrum; ten grandkids Quesa, Rikeshia, Quintavious, Regggie Jr., Carlton, Zamir, Jeremiah, and Zariah, Michelle, Elijah; his special sister Gene Wicker; three great grandkids Rashad, Camari, Khelani and a host of other relatives and friends.
