Joe Johnson, of Brandon, Mississippi, born January 21, 1947, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025. Joe lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter who found comfort on the water and in the woods, a talented woodworker who could turn any piece of wood into something meaningful, and a devoted follower of Jesus whose faith guided his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Joe is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine Johnson, with whom he shared many cherished years.
He is survived by his daughters: Amy Hicks (Danny) of Brandon, Mississippi; Carol Breeden of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Kristie Stroud (Mark) of Philadelphia, Mississippi. Joe was also blessed with four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
His legacy lives on in the family he loved, the faith he lived by, and the countless memories he leaves behind.
Visitation will be at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 am, with a graveside service following at 11:00 am in Brandon Memorial Gardens.
