A celebration of the life of Joe Kidd, 64, of Chandler, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the First Methodist Church in Chandler, with Bro. Danny Bristow and Rev. Charles Jordan officiating.
Mr. Kidd passed away on December 25, 2024, in Chandler.
Joe Wayne Kidd was born on December 12, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to Coleman Buster Kidd and Patsy Jo (Moffeit) Kidd. He was a member of Life Source Community Church in Lindale and worked in construction throughout his career. Joe enjoyed hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and watching football. He cherished his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Joe had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. He truly had a gentle spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Joyce Richardson, and his nephew, Terry Kidd.
Survivors include his children, Cody Kidd and wife Elyse of Brownsboro, Landon Kidd and wife Lindsey of Troup, and Samantha Sager of Brownsboro; his siblings, Anita "Shug" Pollard and husband Sam of Chandler and David Kidd and wife Kay of Chandler; his grandchildren, Kennedy and Claire Kidd, Lexi and Heidi Kidd, and Westlynn, Rustin, Jarah, and Presley; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church before the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Triumph Village, 12781 St. Hwy 64, Tyler, Texas 75704.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
