Joe Homero Luna, Jr.
LEIPSIC – Joe Homero Luna, Jr., 54 of Leipsic, passed away at 2:40 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born June 16, 1971, in Michigan to Homero Sr. and Betty Lou (Delgado) Luna. His parents survive in Leipsic. On September 8, 1990, he married Tracey Glasgow, who survives in Leipsic.
Also surviving are four children: Corbet (Anea) Luna, Ciara Luna, both of Leipsic, Celena (Jared) Rieman of McComb and Paul Ostaszewski of Colorado; eight grandchildren: CJ, Camila, Khloe, Ava, Valentina, Nayeliz, Leiauna and Juniper; a sister, Lisa Luna of Leipsic; a niece, Sterling; a nephew, Emerson; and his beloved dog, Bella.
Joe worked as a welder at KMI, Kalida. He was passionate about football and coached Pandora-Gilboa Middle School football for 12 years. He was an avid fan of the Florida State Seminoles and Dallas Cowboys. Joe enjoyed playing cornhole with his "Cornhole Crew" whenever he got the chance. He loved gathering with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Leipsic Fogle Center from 2 to 9 p.m. where a funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. with Pastor Justin Deuel and a meal to follow. Casual attire is preferred, jerseys encouraged.
