Joe McFarland Obituary
September 15, 1932 - April 20, 2022
Kansas City, Missouri - Our beloved Dad and Grandpa peacefully passed from this life on April 20th, 2022.
Joe was born near Pomona, Missouri, in 1932 to Wayne and Addie Mae McFarland and moved with his family to Kansas City as a child. He attended Central High School and Kansas City University before starting our family and moving to Raytown.
In addition to his loyal dog, Charlie, he leaves behind four sons, Mike (Libby), Tom (Cathy), Steve (Julie), and Paul (Angela), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Thanks to loving care from many family, neighbors and his Meals on Wheels friends, Dad was able to live his last years at his home in Kansas City, and he leaves us with many happy memories. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations to KC Shepherd Center or KC Hospice House in honor of Joe.
Funeral Mass will be held at Visitation Parish, 5141 Main St, Kansas City, MO on Thursday, April 28th at 1pm (Rosary at 12:30). A gathering of friends will be held at BB's Lawnside following interment at Green Lawn Cemetery from 3:30.

We sure had a lot of fun times when we lived on the Plaza. Joe was a great guy, loved his family dearly, and NEVER met a stranger. He was so kind to animals and just a gentle soul.

Joe was a wonderfully warm, funny man. I loved listening to his stories about his life and family, then and now. I will miss delivering Meals to him on Fridays and giving Charlie a treat! My thoughts are with Joe, Charlie, and all his family today. God bless.
