Joe Ratliff

Joe Vernon Ratliff, 85, passed away on August 9, 2024, in Durant, Oklahoma. Born on March 12, 1949, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Joe embarked on a lifelong journey of education and teaching. He graduated with a degree in Science and dedicated his career to teaching in various schools, including Davis Schools in Oklahoma and in Texas.
Joe was known for his love of reading, always eager to acquire new knowledge. This passion was not only a hobby but a significant part of his life, which he also shared with his students, fostering a love of learning in them as well.
He is survived by his loved ones, Darcy Ratcliff, Kerri Ratliff, Dottie Shawl, Wendy Piepgrass, Robin DeRocchis, and Kim Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Geraldine McIner, and his brothers, Gerry and Wayne Ratliff.
Memorial services for Joe will be held at a later date. His legacy of knowledge and education will live on through the many lives he touched.
