Joe Rudnicki passed Friday February 7th surrounded by his beloved family. Joe was born on March 19th 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a man with a heart as big as his personality and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and loyalty. He was a devoted husband to Linda, his wife of 41 years, and a proud father to Christina (Anna), Joey (Kaity), and Ed (Monica). His greatest joys in life were his grandchildren, Casey, Mallory, Maria, and Paulinda, who brought him endless happiness.
Joe lived life with passion, embracing his love for sports, especially Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland teams. He found happiness on the beach at Bay Point, where fond memories were made with family and treasured friendships. An Army medic, a retired UPS manager, and a transplant survivor, Joe was as strong as they come. He even achieved a golfer's dream-holding a hole-in-one at Bay Point Golf Course. Joe's love for food was something we will remember about him; especially his famous clam chowder.
Generosity was his trademark; he would literally give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He gave freely of his time, his money, and his kindness, never saying a harsh word about anyone. His sense of humor was unmatched, and he cherished the companionship of his beloved grand-dog, Bruno.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Linda and Kathy, and his parents, Theresa and Harvey. His legacy of love, kindness, and a little bit of mischief will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
We will be gathering on Sunday February 16th from 2-5 at Jardine Funeral Home in Strongsville, Ohio. The funeral mass will be held Monday at 10am St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Strongsville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Transplant House of Cleveland at https://www.transplanthouseofcleveland.org/ways-to-help/donate/
Joe will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
