Graveside services for Joe Ed Self, age 71, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. at Sulphur Bluff Cemetery. Visitation well be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January, 6, 2024, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Self passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his home.
Joe was born on November 11, 1952 in McKinney, TX to Carolos and Helen Marie (McFarland) Self. After high school, he went on to Auctioneer School. In addition to Auctioneering, he was a Rancher, ran livestock, and was a Cowboy. Joe loved his family and friends. He also loved working alongside his sons and grandkids.
He is survived by his sons; Cody Self, Joe Bob Self and wife Sherry; grandchildren, Taylor Self, Karlie Self Lane and husband Ryan, Ty Self, Bbo Self, Braxton Fielden, Tanna Keen; great-grandchildren, Rylie Lane, Blakley Keen, Bryder Fielden. He is also survived by sisters, Linda Horton and Karen Kimball; brothers, John Self and David Self.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Helen Marie Self; a granddaughter and nephew.
