Joe's life was a testament to his loyalty and dedication. After enlisting as a Marine at eighteen, he showcased bravery and commendable leadership during WWII, particularly at the battle of Okinawa, where he was put in charge of the "Code Talkers." As a devoted member of the Church of Christ, Joe lived by the verse, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
