Joe Lee Stewart

Joe Lee Stewart, age 65, of Charlotte, an old hippie at heart, known for his humor and kindness, died March 9, 2026. Joe was born on December 14, 1960, to Jimmy and Wanda (Brininstool) Stewart.

Joe was a very likeable man who loved to shower his family and friends with unique gifts. He was jokester and enjoyed wheeling and dealing at local garage sales and thrift shops. He had great fun buying scratch off lottery tickets and taking trips to the casino. Most of all, Joe was very proud of his ability to stop smoking and drinking, something he worked very hard at achieving.

Joe is survived by his son, Caleb Stewart; sister, Karla Ettinger; and brother, Jimmy Lee Stewart, Jr., and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Barbie DenHerder; brothers, Kim Stewart and Jay Stewart.
