Bruce Kevin Bailey, age 62, of Charlotte, a man known for always helping others, passed away at home March 19, 2026 surrounded by family. Bruce was born on April 9, 1963, in Charlotte Michigan to Bruce D. and Carol (Haywood) Bailey.
On May 13, 1994, Bruce married Kim Ames, beginning a partnership that would span a lifetime of love, hard work, and shared adventure. Together, they raised three children and created countless cherished memories along the way.
Bruce was known for his strong work ethic and dedication, spending his career as a truck driver for Meijer. He took great pride in his exceptional safety record, logging more than five million miles without a single incident-a remarkable accomplishment that reflected his diligence and care.
An outdoorsman at heart, Bruce found joy in fishing, hunting, woodworking, and traveling in his fifth-wheel to scenic destinations. Whether exploring new places or chasing a sunset, he embraced life with enthusiasm and appreciation. He also had a creative side and was an author who enjoyed writing fictional works.
Above all, Bruce treasured time spent with his family and friends. He was dependable and resourceful, always willing to lend a hand and known for his ability to fix just about anything.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Kim; mother, Carol (Ken) Kelly; brother, Bill Bailey; children, Aaron Bailey, Alex (Kayla Gilsdorf) Bailey, and Courtney (Steve) Guthrie; grandchildren Aiden and Addisyn Guthrie. He was predeceased by his father, Bruce Bailey, and sister, Sherri Bailey.

Visitation is Tuesday, March 24 from noon - 1:00 pm. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Brendan Holmquist officiating. A private burial will take place. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to Wounded Warrier Project. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
