Joe Allen West, 77, of Galena, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at his home. A Private Burial was held Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, Missouri.
Joe was born February 19, 1947 to Eva Jean (Grady) Everett in Kansas City, MO but was raised by his grandparents, Alfred Gilbert "AG" Ferguson and Thelma Margret (Moss) Ferguson in Adrian, MO. They loved him dearly and considered him as their own son. He grew up in rural Adrian and was a graduate of 1965 from Adrian High School. He continued his education at Missouri University where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked at Missouri University Hospital and then later with the VA hospitals until he retired. He had a love for anything electronic and would spend his free time fixing up or repairing old electronics, especially stereos and radios. Even though he moved away from Adrian, he still kept his farmland in the area and loved farming.
Joe is preceded in death by grandparents; his mother; sister, Sandra Staggs; aunt, Mary Dotson; and niece, Gloria Staggs. He is survived by his brother, Earl "Butch" Pratt, and his wife, Diana; nieces: Jeannie Barker, Tammy Everett, and Marie Sneed.

Condolences to Butch and family. I haven't seen Little Joe in years, as all efforts to find him failed. Little Joe was very caring and I admired his spirit to overcome obstacles put in his way. Little Joe was a very special cousin whom I loved dearly.
