Joel Betters Obituary

Despite mental health and addiction challenges, Joel had an incredible heart, deep soul and incredible capacity to love. He always was trying to move forward and never stopped trying! He had a passion for sports, art and music. Joel could "sell ice to an eskimo" and will be remembered for his constant desire to make people happy.
Family will receive friends and family at the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home (25620 Center Ridge Road, Westlake) from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, August 29. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Catholic Church (2256 Clague Road Westlake) at 12:30 pm on Friday, August 30. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Avon.
Donations can be made in Joel's memory to Catholic Charities (c/o of Catholic Community Foundation 1404 E. Ninth Street Cleveland 44114 or www.catholiccommunity.org).
