Joel Escobar Obituary
Joel Alexander Escobar-McGraw age 33 of South Bend, Indiana formerly of La Mirada, California, passed away Monday, January 8th, 2024.
Joel enjoyed movies, art, anime, video games and also collecting memorabilia. He also enjoyed attending conventions and building models. His varied interests included metalwork, woodwork, cooking and photography. More than anything he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Joel enjoyed the simple things in life and his quiet and reserved demeanor was enjoyed by many. Joel never complained about his battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
At the time of his passing, Joel was employed at Notre Dame, where he earned the respect and friendship of much of the staff and Notre Dame community.
Joel is survived by his mother, Tara; his father Horace; his two brothers Sam and Devin; his grandmother Jane; Uncle Aaron; special friend Mila; and multiple aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life for Joel at the Morris Inn ballroom on Sunday, January 28, 2024. (2-4PM)
Family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the support of the Morris Inn staff and Notre Dame community, as well as the hard work of the Saint Joseph hospital and Fountain View Care Center.
