Joel Benton Miller

Joel Benton Miller, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 29, 2025, at his home in New Cumberland, PA, where he resided for the last 20 years.

Born June 18, 1966, in Coatesville, PA, he was the younger son of Rev. Richard G. Miller of Telford, PA, and the late Meleny (Derr) Miller, who passed away in 2008. He was a 1984 graduate of Souderton High School and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown University. He was employed as a computer consultant for Rite Aid for a number of years.

Joel was very creative and had a big heart. He was known for his quiet and witty sense of humor. Another attribute of Joel's was that he had the gift of extraordinary kindness; he never spoke ill of anyone. He was a complex individual of whom most saw only the surface humor and self-effacement.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two children, Autumn Myers and her husband, Thomas, of Carlisle, PA, and Maxwell Miller of Middletown, PA; and a grandson, Lawrence Myers. He is also survived by a brother, Eric Miller and his wife, Kristi, of Belleville, MI; and his close companion, Heather Danner.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 3 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA, where the family will receive friends 2-2:45 pm. Interment will be private at Friedens Union Cemetery in Sumneytown, PA.
