From Mom:
To our beloved little towhead boy. The first love of our lives, the first grandchild, the reason for the rest of the story.
Grandpa's buddy in his workshop. Grandma Schlicht's and Grandma Jane’s pride and joy.
You’ll be forever in our hearts – We love you, Joel.
“Mom, I’m fine.”
“Love you back.”
A Poem For My Dad
You were the person I would call Daddy.
You were the one who would play with me outside
Basketball, tennis, or
Just throwing a frisbee.
You would love to go to festivals,
Parks and old stores with me.
You taught me how random things worked
And facts about them.
It breaks my heart that I have to tell the little girl in me,
That she should especially enjoy being with her dad,
Even with all the family issues
Because she won’t have her dad in her
Teenage years. ~Elizabeth Schlicht
