Patrick “Pat” Philip Sullivan passed away unexpectedly on August 30th, 2025 at 42 years old. Pat was born in Madison, WI to Mary (Richter) and Tom Sullivan on August 29th, 1983. He attended IHM School in Monona and was an altar server through 8th grade. He enjoyed grade school and did a variety of athletic activities. He attended Edgewood High School, where he played football, basketball, and golf. He graduated from Edgewood in 2002 and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He graduated from UW in 2006 with a degree in Economics and went on to start a job at Merrill Lynch in Madison after graduation. He also completed his Master’s of Business Administration from Indiana University. Pat had an expansive career within the finance industry, including working at the public utility commission, WE Energies, Banker’s Bank, and was a bank examiner. His favorite and most important job, however, was being a dad. Pat loved spending time with his three children, Catherine, Elizabeth, and Phillip, as well as his wife, Megan. He and his family loved to take trips to Disney World, as well as the Wisconsin Dells. Pat loved being involved with his children’s extracurricular activities. Pat and Megan loved each other and loved spending time together; they even went to both the Morgan Wallen and Coldplay concerts at Camp Randall this year. Outside of spending time with family, Pat loved the sport of golf, with a goal to get outside to play as much as possible. He also had a deep love for his favorite music artists, Kanye West and Dave Matthews Band. Aside from being the most loving and caring husband and father, Pat was an exceptionally wonderful son, brother, friend, and coworker. Throughout life, Pat was unapologetically himself, a lesson we can all learn from him. He will be so incredibly missed.
Pat is survived by his lovely wife Megan, as well as, his three children, Catherine (10), Elizabeth (8), and Philip (3). He is also survived by his parents, Tom and Mary (Richter) Sullivan, his siblings, Michael (Izzy) Sullivan, his sister, Margaret (Jack Mielke), as well as, in-laws, Sue and Bill Klemundt. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Elizabeth Richter, Philip and Patricia Sullivan, his childhood cat (Asphalt) and his dog (Wups).
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 9 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2121 Rowley Avenue, from 10-11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am. Interment will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated.
