Joey Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alavon Direct Cremation Service - South Daytona on Dec. 19, 2025.
Joey (Joe) Frank Brown, 69, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 11, 2025, at his home in Port Orange, Florida. Joe, as all his friends and family called him, was born to Mary Elizabeth and Billy Joe Brown on August 6, 1956, in Shellman, Georgia. He married Melanie Lynn Brown on May 25, 2013, and had three daughters, Stacy Lynn Pincus (Mark), Lecreacia Brown, and Amanda Brown (Casey).
Joe enjoyed life to the fullest and made friends everywhere he went. He was a member of the South Daytona Christian Church. He gained a bachelor's degree in Animal Husbandry from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. Joe was a Truck Driver for over 43 years and traveled all across the United States, that's how he met the love of his life and they soon became a two-man team, winning awards for being Team of the Month. Joe was medically retired in 2017 and he and his wife soon retired to Florida in April 2022 where he loved going and walking on the beach, fishing, spending time with family and friends, game nights at home, playing the guitar, watching westerns and cop shows. Joe loved riding his motorcycles and was the biggest John Wayne fan through and through. He was always making people laugh and joking around because he loved putting smiles on his family and friend's faces.
He is survived by his wife Lynn; three daughters, Stacy, Lecreacia, and Amanda; six grandchildren, LaBrea, Tyler, Abby, Josh, Tee, and Delilah; five siblings Carolyn (Albert), Billy "Buddy" (Amy), Thomas "Tommy" (Melissa), Cecil, and Benjamin "Ben"; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Billy Joe and a sister Angela "Angie" Easters.
A family hosted Celebration of Life will be held Monday, December 15, 2025, 3:00 pm at South Daytona Christian Church, 2121 Kenilworth Avenue, South Daytona, Florida 32119. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Joey, please visit our floral store.
