Joey LeRoy Carmon, 64, husband of Sherry Anderson Carmon, died Saturday, September 13, 2025 at his home in Sumter.
He was a son of the late LeRoy Garland Carmon and Betty Rose Evans Carmon.
He worked in facility maintenance at Holiday Manor/Sumter Place in Sumter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Lisa Carmon Grate of Sumter; 3 nieces and 3 nephews and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; brother-in-laws, Robert Anderson and Michael Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Angela Anderson Edwards.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Kay Carmon; and a brother, Robert Wayne Carmon.
A funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral home with Rev. Clyde Chan and Rev. Jim Tanner officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home, 2895 Ithica Drive, Sumter.
