Bailey Joe "Joey" Casady, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on May 1, 1967, in Unionville, Missouri, Joey lived a life marked by dedication to his work, deep love for his family, and an enduring sense of fun.
Joey attended Winnetonka High School in Kansas City before continuing his education at Operators Training School, also in Kansas City. He went on to build a respected career as a heavy equipment operator with Operators Union Local 101.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Juanita "Jodie" Casady; daughter Mikaella Jo Casady and her partner Eli Felix; son Joseph Tyler Casady and his partner Ashley Boswell; stepchildren and their partners Ryan and Katie McKay ; Sammy Standly; Kera and Storm Thompson; Sarah and Jenson Saunder; and one and a half grandchildren Pasley Mae Casady and soon-to-arrive Caspian Joe Felix and step grandchildren Lucille, Evelyn and Jack McKay; Marley, Silas, and Ashly Standly; Kyle and Luca Thompson; Landon and Liam Saunder. Joey also leaves behind his sister Lori "Casady" Carleton Clark; nephew Zackery Carleton; niece Myrriah Clark; great-nephew Jonah Davis; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and valued friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Huston Bailey Casady and Joyce Ann Casady.
Joey had a passion for NASCAR and football and enjoyed the thrill of gambling. He was known for being a fun-loving man who showed patience and love for those around him. His presence brought laughter to gatherings large and small, and he will be deeply missed.
His memory will always bring a funny story and a comforting smile to those who knew him.
A Graveside Service will be held on June 23, 2025, at 01:00 PM at Unionville Cemetery Garfield Street Unionville MO
