Joey grew up in Madelia, graduated from Madelia High School, and later attended cosmetology school. She married the love of her life, Donald A. Griese, on February 5, 1984, in Las Vegas.
Throughout her career, Joey worked with Echo Plus, Forest Ridge, Fairmont Foods, and Weston Incorporated. She found joy in gardening, the outdoors, time at the cabin up north, and caring for her beloved cats. She was also a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; her son, Trapper (Michelle); her grandson, Drake; and her brothers, Dave (Kathy) Anderson and Gregg Anderson.
Joey was preceded in death by her parents.
