Johanna Kendall of Tallahassee, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 2, 2024. Born on April 1, 1973, Johanna was the beloved daughter of Joseph Pinson and Johnnie Stoutamire. She was the loving wife of Mark Allen Kendall, who she married in 1995, and the doting mother of Kayla Granger (Bon), Anthony Granger, Shelby Kendall-Willis (Christopher), and Meagan Kendall (David). Johanna also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren Emily, Brenden, Raelynn, Tyler Merrill, Justin and Tanner Sirmons, Carter and Anslee Willis. Johanna is survived by her parents, devoted husband, loving children, precious grandchildren, 5 sisters and 1 brother, and many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her older brother, Michael Sumner, and her nephew, Caleb Gill.
Johanna had a zest for life and a passion for many hobbies including all sorts of gambling, cooking for her family, as well as any and all who made their way into Kendall’s Kitchen, and rooting for her favorite team, the Florida State Seminoles. Johanna spent many of her days with her children at baseball, softball, and football fields all over the state of Florida. She brought joy and laughter to all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured by her family and friends. Johanna would open her home to any person in need of clothes, shower or food. She had the most amazing wit about her that her family will continue to carry with them.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM, to be held at Faith Funeral Home in Havana, Florida. The family will receive friends and loved ones directly to follow, at the family residence. The family asks that you join them to continue the celebration of their beautiful mother and the wonderful life she lived with food and refreshments provided.
The family has asked that all flowers, memorial plants, or donations be sent directly to Faith Funeral Home & Crematory, who is assisting the family with all final arrangements (850.539.4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com).
