I was 27 years old attending Capital Christian Center when Pastor Abernathy called me from Pacific Grove and asked me to be his Minister of Music. We had met at Capital while we was on staff there. I served Peninsula Christian Center with Pastor John until he assumed the position of Men's Ministry Director in the Nor Cal A of G district office. I loved John and Carol and became acquainted with most all of his family while in Pacific Grove. I have always fondly remembered those early days of ministry, Carol's dinners at their home, his bright yellow Corvette and many other things. Pastor John's invitation to me in 1980 was the beginning of 45 years of ministry. There will be a "glad reunion day."
