John W. Adams, age 76, of Appleton, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on August 9, 2025. He was born and raised in Iola, son of the late Melvin and Altheda (Gunderson) Adams. He married Betty Young on December 19, 1970. John spent the majority of his career as a baker. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

John is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Brian; grandchildren: Gabriel, Emma (Thomas) and Molly; twin great grandchildren arriving shortly; siblings: Linda (Dave), Rick (Michelle), Ann and Cheri (Bill); brothers and sisters-in-law: Audrey (Dave), Mary (Johnny), Fred (Karen), Carol (Greg), Joe (Trish) and Debbie (Chris); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents; Betty's parents, Joseph and Marie Young; and a brother-in-law, Mike.

John's life will be celebrated on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton. Family and friends may gather from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. For online condolences, please visit www.valleyfh.com.
