John Ballard Adkins

John Ballard Adkins, Age 53, of Beaver, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the UK Medical Center.  He was born on July 27, 1972, the son of the late Ballard Wayne Adkins and Margie Louise Adkins.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two special brothers, Bryan Howell and Jim Allen.

John was a TRP Supervisor for Mountain Comprehensive Care for many years.

He is survived by his wife Tonya Johnson Adkins, by two daughters, Savannah Lynn "Leonard" Adkins (Jacob) and Briannah Leigh Adkins Deel (Blake), by a grandbaby that is on the way, by a sister, Delania Adkins, by a brother, Vince Adkins (Chasity), by his uncle, Norman Adkins, by his mother-in-law Carlene Johnson, by his nieces, Kaylee, Maddie, Kate Kate and Blake "Weet Weet", and by his special pets, Amber, Sam, Cocoa, Salem, Bitty Bitty and Paige.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 after 6 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tony Roberts and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dan Adkins Cemetery at Fords Branch.

Special services will be held on Thursday and Friday nights at 7 PM.
