You were my first introduction to Austin in 1993. You carried me through my doctoral program at UT. You carried me through my dating life, engagement, marriage and the many mornings of taking care of our children when they were babies (...they are now in high school). You had the best stories, quotes, selections of songs (some songs played repeatedly or different versions/covers). You made me laugh. You made me cringe. You made me cry with simple words, interpretations and melodies. I met you only once on the Town Lake trail near Zach Scott Theatre decades ago. I had finished a run and you were just starting a walk. Admittedly, I was starstruck and couldn't resist introducing myself and telling you how much I enjoyed my mornings with you. You received me with such delight and chatted with me as if I was an old friend. I guess we listeners were all old friends. You are a legend Jon Aielli. May our gardens grow with your spirit above and may we dress for the weather.
