John Allen Obituary
John Calvin Allen, 58, of Glen Burnie, passed away at his home on December 6, 2021. He was born in North Carolina to the late Robert and Anne Allen. He was a steamfitter with Local 486 in Baltimore for over 20 years. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing and occasionally working on cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Colleen Brocato Allen.
He is survived by his loving children, Brandy, Elizabeth and Ryan Allen; cherished granddaughter, Kaitlyn Sims; dear siblings, Robert Allen Jr., William Allen, Melissa Walden, Janey Kepley and Tamy Curlee; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, Dec. 10th, at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, Glen Burnie. Visitation will immediately follow from 4 – 7 PM. Services will also be held on Sunday, Dec. 12th, 2 PM, at Rocky River Baptist Church, 297 Rocky River Church Road, Polkton, NC 28135. Rev. Dennis Stegall to officiate. Interment to follow at Wightman United Methodist Church Cemetery in Polkton, NC.
