John Allen Obituary
Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Mr. Allen will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, 12:00 PM CST at New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Camp Hill, AL, Rev. Edward Lane, Pastor | Officiating, Rev. Gary L. Dixon | Eulogist.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Allen leaves cherished memories with his companion, Latarsha Carlisle of Lafayette, AL, daughters: Bianca Joy Sanon and Malayasia Carlisle, both of Lafayette, AL, grandchild, Zarek Sanon of Lafayette, AL, stepdaughter, Moesha Todd of Auburn, AL, siblings: Morris (Lisa) Allen, Dorothy (John) Ray, and Alma (Tracy Thomas) Allen, all of Lafayette, AL and Jonah Allen of Opelika, AL, aunts: Christine Griffin, Clemmie Holloway of Camphill, AL, Josephine Roberts of Lanett, AL, Vanessa Jennings of Chattanooga, TN and Shirley (Mitford) Bettis of College Park, GA, an uncle, Donnie B. Allen of Lafayette, AL, bonus mothers: Ruby (David Avery) Evans, Dot Seroyer, Faye Seroyer, and Lera Todd, all of Lafayette, AL, bonus dad, Clarence (Dorothy) Heard of Waverly, AL, bonus siblings, Darryl (Tammy) Seroyer, Sylvia Allen, Chevette Todd, Christopher Thomas and Clarence Avery, all of Lafayette, AL, Tawanna Williams and Mecose (Mariah) Todd, both of Valley, AL, Lakeshia (Reverend Eric) Dowdell of Opelika, AL and Angelia (Ty) Ashford of Huntsville, AL, special cousins, Simmie Allen and Alexander Allen, both of Lafayette, AL and William Jennings of Mobile, AL, special nephew, Latravious Thomas of Lafayette, AL, special friends: Robert Watts of Wadley, AL, Richard Mackey, Cleophus Boston, Maurice Alford, Larry Scott and James Moore, all of Lafayette, AL, Jeffery Askew of Camphill, AL and Chris (Tara) Evans of Opelika, AL, his fur baby, Slick, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
