John was preceded in death by Eileen, his wife of 68 years, son Dennis and daughter Joan. John is survived by his children Chris (Sara), Marie, Mark (Sue), Gerard (Nancy), Paula (Steve), Patrick and daughter-in-law Maryann, 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
John retired from the Detroit Fire Department in 1979 after serving for 27 years. He ran his own aluminum siding business for many years. He moved to Tucson in 1980 and built his own house where he enjoyed many years with Eileen.
Always a gentleman, kind, calm, patient and loving, he will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation is August 6th from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Vistoso Funeral Home 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso, Oro Valley
Rosary and funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church 2727 W. Tangerine, Oro Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
