It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Archer, beloved husband, father, and brother. John lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, kindness, and generosity.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda; his stepchildren, Tim and Michelle; his sons, John, Daniel, and William; his loving sister, Patricia; and many nieces and nephews who were dear to his heart.
John was a man of quiet strength, known for his honesty, diligence, and unwavering principles. He believed in hard work, kindness, and the enduring value of family. His wisdom, charm, and caring nature touched all who knew him.
Known as "Jack" to much of his family, he embodied the moniker - a true Jack of all trades. He served as a Communications Operations Technician in the Air Force during the Korean War, studied Mechanical Engineering at New Mexico University, and worked at a steel mill, in missile defense, and in electronics repair at Hewlett Packard; ending his career as an electronics repair technician at Harrah's Casino.
An entrepreneur at heart, John co-owned and operated several businesses, including a laundry delivery service, a hospital equipment repair company, a carpet cleaning business, and an automotive shop. He took great pride in his work while raising his children and instilling in them the values of perseverance, integrity, and laughter - as well as the art of an effective poker bluff.
John was a keystone of the Archer family and will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched.
