John "Jack" Armona Jr.

John (Jack) Armona Jr., age 91, of West Milford, NJ, formerly of Bloomingdale, NJ and Dingmans Ferry, PA, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, at Chilton Medical Center. Jack was born on March 14, 1933, in Shipman, IL, the son of the late John and the late Margaret (Duff) Armona.
Jack was married to the late Vera (Laumbach) Armona for 67 years prior to her passing. He served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He worked as a supervisor at Inmont and Magruder chemical companies before his retirement. Jack was a toll collector at the Dingmans Ferry Bridge after his retirement.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Margie Sweet and husband Bob and Karen Carman, his loving brother, Fred Armona and wife Marie, and sister in law Ann Laumbach, his cherished grandchildren, Sandra Huber and husband Chris, Jaclyn Campoli and husband Jeff and Samantha Manfredonio and husband Michael and his adored great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Danielle, Scarlett, Christina, and Avery.
Jack is predeceased by his son John, his daughter Jacqueline, his granddaughter Danielle, his sister Joan, his brother in laws Harold and Dean Laumbach and son-in-law Andy.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral service will be held Sunday 2:30pm also at the funeral home. The final disposition will be private.
