Shocked to hear this. John was a cool and always friendly guy. Kind of the older watchful bro of us Norman violinists.

I first met John when he was a little boy, studying Suzuki violin with Lacy McLarry, in the same class with my daughter Melissa Hennagin. I remember John´s mother, father, and sister attending his lessons and concerts, and glowing with pride at John´s wonderful talent and accomplishments. His kindness, and optimistic, cheerful nature were always in evidence, even as a child. I have kept up with John´s life mainly through social media, and his death is a terrible shock. My deepest condolences to his beloved fiancée Lisa , and to his sister Sheila and her family. John will be greatly missed.

My first memory of John was watching him play the piano. John was probably around 3 or 4 years old but you wouldn´t know by the way he played. Aunt Elisa and Uncle John truly inspired the love of music and family in both of their children. John will be truly missed.
