John Henry Bade, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at the age of 77, at Lone Star Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Stephenville, Texas, with his family by his side. Born on October 13, 1947, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, John was the cherished son of Neal and Mary Ann (Katske) Bade.

A proud veteran, John served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, demonstrating his steadfast commitment to those he loved and the values he held dear. He married Geraldine Ann Middendorf on February 12, 1977, in Galena, Illinois, and together they built a life filled with love and support.

John earned his Bachelor's Degree and devoted his professional life to serving others as a Food Service Director. He poured his heart into his work, always ensuring that those around him were well-fed and cared for. His kindness extended beyond his career; in his personal life, John was known for his nurturing spirit, often seen bringing casseroles to friends and neighbors in need.

An avid gardener and passionate cook, John found joy in creating meals with fresh ingredients and sharing those moments with his loved ones. He derived immense pride from his family, particularly his daughter, Addie Caudle, her husband Troy, and his cherished grandson, Jeffrey. John was a constant presence at every event in Jeffrey's life, showering him with love and support that created countless cherished memories.

John's legacy is one of deep affection and unwavering support. He was the doer of all things, the person who took care of business, and the heart of his family. His love knew no bounds, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate John's remarkable life at a later date. Details of the service will be announced, allowing friends and family to come together to honor and remember the impact he had on all of our lives.
