Of Monroeville, age 76, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Born the son of the late John E. Ball and the late Anna C. (Trabert) Ball.
Beloved husband of Anna L. (Silvio) Ball, who together shared over 30 years with John.
Loving father of Jack Ball, Daniel "D.J." (Kimberley) Silvio, and Matthew (Brianna) Silvio.
Adored grandfather of Christopher, Victoria, Victor, Freya, and Lorik.
Dear brother of Dorothy (the late John) Leahey, Irene (the late Bobby) Wenzel, Frank (the late Emily) Ball, and Mildred Brinkley.
Also survived by nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate of Penn Hills High School. Following graduation, he pursued a career in the automotive field as a mechanic. Over the years, John continued to gain both skill and exhilaration about his profession, which led him to work for several foreign car dealerships throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. After dedicating over 50 years to the automotive industry, John retired as Master Technician a few years back. John had a fascination with aviation and would often spend time taking flights or flight simulations. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing video games with his family.
Per John's request, there will be no visitation or service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.

I was privileged and blessed to be a coworker of John´s for several years at Baierl Toyota. He was a favorite of many of our customers who only wanted John to work on their cars. He worked hard, was a mentor to many new technicians and was never too busy to help anyone who asked.
I´ll always remember his dry sense of humor and his self deprecating manner.
He is truly one of a kind and will forever be in my heart
Love you, John,
Sharon

So sorry to hear about the passing of Jonn. I have many great memories of spending time with him and my cousins (Jack and Joey, who has been with the Lord since he was 19). John and my dad , Ron, always loved to joke around . I'll never forget how John played Santa Clause for us kids for quite a few Christmases, until we figured out it was him! My he rest in peace
